Embracing Innovation

Hey! Thanks for caring to find out a little more about me.

My name is Scott Fitzgerald, and I grew up in the beautiful state of Utah. Currently, I work at USAA in their IT department as a Problem Manager. I graduated from the Marriott School of Business at BYU with a Master of Information Systems Management degree.

I’ve noted some of my reasons to blog and will be writing all about user experience design and my journey to become a great UX designer. I get excited when users love a piece of software because it is targeted at reaching their own goals and not just the goals of the task the software supports (yes, they are often different). I’ll be posting primarily about user experience (interaction design, information architecture and usability), tips and tools for effective creative facilitation and social innovations. On rare occasions I’ll post something off topic if I think it is something worth your time or is something I am passionate about. (if I’m passionate about it, it has to be worth your time right?!?! )

I will also be tracking which posts you find most interesting and will plan future content to continue along those ideas for your benefit. Please comment and let me know what you think.
